A weekend with my girls.

After a busy week we headed down to OB Friday afternoon. When we arrived we found Kieth, Chelsea, Elle & Sarah already enjoying the luxurious amenities here at TPOS. They had been out to dinner while Karen made us sandwiches, our traditional Friday dinner. Later we watched TV long after my bedtime, early for them.

Saturday Karen & I went over to the beach to see the oil. Saw little oil but at least a 100 VOO boats working the oil. It makes us feel better to see them working but very few of then are really doing anything more than riding around. Later we put a brisket on the egg for dinner.

We went to lunch with the crowd at Tacky Jack's and sat at the "Obama table". The hostess said people had asked all sorts of questions about him from what he smelled like to what he ate. She said he smelled like "Afro Sheen & Fried Chicken" and had "watermelon". Our Alabama heritage shines through..

Later we took Miss Elisa over to Pirate's Cove. Between Kieth and me she was loaded to the gunnel. Both girls had a bushwhacker. When they were little I would sit on the deck drink beer & watch them swim. Now they drink bushwhackers and watch me drink tea. What goes around comes around. A "BP Bushwacker is pictured here.

Later I drove them to the Flora-Bama so they could get a taxi home. My little girls have grown up....

It was a great weekend that was far too short. We all miss having Lindsey here. Back Thursday for Jimmy Buffet
